Joshua Clottey defeated Zab Judah by unanimous decision to claim the International Boxing Federation welterweight belt Saturday night at the Palms Casino.

On TV, Dr. James Game, the ringside physician, can be heard asking Judah several times if he wants to continue and seen holding up his fingers. "How many?" he asked the bleeding fighter. Judah either refused to answer or answered wrong.

The fight was stopped at the 1:22 mark in Round 9 when Zab Judah could no longer see from the blood dripping from a large cut above his right eye. Clottey then took all three scorecards to win the IBF title by unanimous decision.

Some of the rancor between Brooklyn-born Judah and Clottey, a native of Accra, Ghana, who fights out of the Bronx, can be traced to a skirmish four years ago in a gym in New York where both were training.
