Letter: Nevada is no wasteland for nuclear garbage

How dare Hal Rogers, who must be in somebody's pocket, tell us Nevadans what is good for us.

We do not have industries that use atomic power commercially, and we should never serve as anybody's garbage pail. They make fortunes out of it. Let them make the effort to solve their own problems. We are nobody's wasteland.

This is a community of families, not robots who will fall for the siren call of the notorious Bennett "Screw Nevada" Johnston of Louisiana. Why does he not suggest the Louisiana salt domes as a good depository? They are so roomy, and you can drive a truck through them.

Sell your goods elsewhere, Rogers! We won't give up. Nevada has done its share for the country. Find another patsy.
