Letter: Mount Charleston verdict is in, so developer should give it up
Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998 | 4:17 a.m.
Allen Nel, don't you realize that the very reason people live on Mount Charleston is to get away from all the noise, lights, traffic and bad air? Those are the very things you want to bring there. The only reason I can think of as to why you want to do this is the almighty buck.
Go away -- the people who live there have spoken and the powers that be agree.
I don't live up there; I wish I did, but I do enjoy going up there if just for a little while. The last thing I want to see are a lot of lights, businesses and a lot more traffic and congestion. Go away, Allen Nel.
