Letters: 'Swingers' reference incorrect for Lifestyles '98 convention
Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998 | 9:27 a.m.
Thank you for the recent report by Jerry Fink on Lifestyles '98. There was only one error, but unfortunately, it appeared right in the headline.
Please note that ours is not a swinger's convention. It is a couples' convention. We began 25 years ago and now have over 30,000 members representing almost every state and more than a score of foreign countries. Our annual gathering is designed to provide both social and educational opportunities and features a sensuous art show, an erotic emporium, dozens of speakers, several dances and a gala masquerade ball.
The couples who attend tell us that they regard our adults-only gatherings as a means of rekindling the passions they enjoyed earlier in their relationship.
Might you find a few swingers in attendance? Of course ... just as you might find a few at a rock concert, a tennis tournament, a computer conference or a political rally.
