Letters: American people are losers in Lewinsky-Clinton show

It takes only two to tango but a whole cast of characters to do the polonaise. Monica Lewinsky's fetish in saving a besmirched dress made her not only subject to off-color jokes on the stand-up circuit but also resulted in a casting call for dress rehearsal to appear on Starr-search to determine the credibility of the role she may have played.
Putting her trust in Linda Tripp didn't help her, either. Analyzing the talking points, after the facts, is like rewriting a bad act to make it through opening night.
Rather than playing a leading role, Lewinsky should have opted for a three-ring circus to play a mime in order to keep her mouth shut.
Lewinsky won't qualify for the good housekeeping award. Yet, her co-star has enough credence for special acting awards during his appearances on stage, screen and television. Those alleged peccadillos have made us the laughingstock of the world. Sadly, we, the American people are the losers.
