Anti-racists to rally in Las Vegas neighborhood

Gary Bello of the Anti-Racist Action organization in Columbus, Ohio, said the Aug. 29 rally will be on th city's southwest side.

Bello said the rally is a direct response to the shooting deaths of Daniel Shersty, 20, and Lin Newborn, 25. Their bodies were found 150 yards apart in a desert area last month.

Newborn was black, Shersty was white. Both were members of a group called Unity Skins, whose aim is to peacefully combat racism.

Bello said Las Vegas will experience more violence if the deaths go unanswered.
