Letter: Republicans do nothing but preserve status quo

We need people in government who understand that our world needs understanding of the needs of all of our diversified population.

No longer should the so-called "elite" be catered to as Republicans do to preserve the status quo. Trust only those who believe each person is an important cog in our society. No race, no color, no religion, no ethnicity -- just people on an equal basis. That is true democracy. Just try it. The vast majority of us will like it.

I will for sure because I believed from the early days of my education in the American Dream. America has its faults but it has never been remiss in finally coming to the truth, however late, in realizing that our Constitution holds all these truths to be self-evident and cannot be denied if this is to be the great America it was destined to be.
