Letter: Residential complaints about air-traffic noise just don't fly

When you buy a home near railroad tracks or within a few miles of an airport, you are going to hear planes and trains. The track and the runways were there long before they started building a master-planned community in that area.

Pilots need to take off into the wind (a tail wind can dangerously destroy lift). If the wind blows from the east, then they take off heading east. The lives of the many tourists and residents who fly out of our fair valley are more important than the complaints of those who failed to research where they were buying their home.
