Letter: Without alternative health care systems, choices are limited

Sure, 67 million have chosen or been urged into managed care but over 100 million haven't or won't. Six million medicine beneficiaries chose managed care but over 25 million have not.

As a traditional medicine patient with no suitable alternative -- but with a choice of several competing managed care plans -- that is not a competitive choice and without real competition my options are limited.

The best hope for the future is for the government to allow alternative health care delivery systems to be developed for the marketplace and then the American people will have legitimate choices.
