Letter: Starr investigation unethical, immoral

Mrs. Clinton has stated that the reasons for President Clinton's problems are because he is from a small state and that there is a right-wing conspiracy. In both of these reasons the Clintons do not accept any responsibility for their actions in Whitewater, Travelgate, Filegate, 1996 and 1998 election irregularities and abuses.

President Clinton renewed the independent counsel law. A three-judge panel and Attorney General Janet Reno expanded Kenneth Starr's authority to include the Monica Lewinsky fiasco.

Let us hope that Republicans and Democrats have enough integrity and ethics to investigate all of the evidence, on all the investigations, and come to an honest decision on impeachment.

For those who are worried about our economy in the event of an impeachment, America and Americans are resilient. We've had, in recent history, an assassination, the Vietnam War and social unrest, and a president' resignation with an orderly transfer of power.

Starr's investigation isn't just about sex, it is about unethical, immoral and illegal political and social actions.
