Several arrests in gang killing

In addition to the six who made appearances in Justice Court, two others were arrested and authorities said other arrests could be made.
The two 15-year-olds were held in lieu of $100,000 bail apiece. The others, ranging in age from 17 to 20, were being held without bail. A preliminary hearing in District Court is scheduled for Sept. 29.
Sheriff's spokesman Bernie Curtis said the fight involving 10 to 15 people broke out early Sunday at the Round House Inn, a motel on the north end of Carson City.
The dead man was identified as Samuel Resendez, 25, who suffered major head and upper chest injuries. Officers recovered metal stakes, pipes and a large rachet tool that may have been used in the fight. The injured man was identified as Alberto Lainez, 21.
Those arraigned in Justice Court included Julian Contreras and Clinton Malone, both 15; Jaron Malone, 17; Rocky Boice Jr. and Frederick Fred, both 19; and Jessica Evans, 20. All listed Carson City addresses.
