Letter: So Clinton played word games; all politicians do same thing
Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1998 | 10 a.m.
President Clinton is a politician. All politicians play games with words. You can't believe anything you think they say. I've listened to it for 51 years as a voter. Only the names change.
Symbolically they're all in the Oval Office. You can't corner them there. They can slip through more loopholes than a crocheted bedspread.
I voted for President Ronald Reagan all the way, but I was sure he called the shots on Iran/Contra. He danced around it like a gazelle.
I voted for Clinton and I would do it again. And in my lifetime, Hillary Rodham Clinton is my favorite first lady. They don't pretend to walk on water. I like that.
