Dini, 69, spent three days in the hospital after undergoing an angioplasty to repair vessels leading to his heart. He expects to resume full work and legislative duties Monday after resting for a week in his home.
He and his family operate Dini's Lucky Club casino in Yerington. Dini has been a legislator since 1967 and served as speaker a record seven times. He considered a run for governor last year before deciding not to run.
Dini expects to serve as speaker again during next year's legislative session if the Democrats remain the majority party. They now hold a 27-15 lead in the Assembly.
