Brandon David Shealy, 17, was arrested on Wednesday shortly after he testified as a witness in the preliminary hearing of the primary suspect, Jad Joseph Fricke.
Fricke, 21, faces an attempted murder charge for the July 25 shooting of his former girlfriend, Priscilla Paulson.
Ms. Paulson, then 17, was shot in the head as she talked with 911 dispatchers dispatchers. She survived but suffered serious injury and is in a rehabilitation center, according to her mother.
Authorities said Shealy was with Fricke when he went to the apartment, and knew more about the crime than he originally told investigators.
"At this point, the police are I are in agreement that he is not being truthful," said Chief Deputy District Attorney David Stanton.
As an accessory, Stanton said Shealy can be charged with attempted murder. He also was charged with mayhem, burglary and conspiracy.
