With the eight already in jail, that would bring the total number of people charged in the death of Sammy Resendez to 16.
Resendez, 25, one of the founders of the Eastside Tokers, was beaten to death early Sunday. He died of massive head injuries at Washoe Medical Center, Reno.
Five of the new arrest warrants carry murder charges. The other three are listed as codefendant-witness.
Sheriff Rod Banister said all eight, like the eight already in custody, are Native Americans mostly listing addresses on the Carson and Stewart colonies in Carson City.
Those being sought on open murder charges were identified as Chris and Elvin Fred, Wayne Roberts, Mike Kizer and Gabrial Montgomery.
Those sought as possible co-defendants or witnesses were identified as Sylvia Fred, Denise Plympton and Nelson Turtle.
Those already in jail on murder charges in the case are Rocky Boice Jr., Clinton and Jaron Malone, Frederick Fred, Julian Contreras, Jessica Evans, David Moyle and Lew Robert Dutchy.
