Letter: Is lying, breaking marriage vow part of being a 'gentleman'?
Saturday, Aug. 29, 1998 | 3:42 a.m.
Let's see what gentleman Clinton's behavior has been. He has broken his marriage vows and has not "forsaken all others" for Hillary. He has lied to Hillary about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. He has lied in his deposition in the Paula Jones case.
Clinton has played word games with the grand jury. And he out and out lied to the American people in January when he vehemently proclaimed that he did not have sex "with that woman."
Time and time again, he refused to come clean. Time and time again, he refused to put this matter to rest. Time and time again, he has put his self-protection ahead of the needs of the country.
Are these the actions of a gentleman? Ms. Ashbaugh, please don't insult my intelligence.
