Letter: No, Wynn, not all museums have an admission charge

Bull! Some do, some do not. I was once director of a semester abroad in Europe program and visited the Prado in Madrid and the Louvre in Paris, and neither charges anywhere near $10. As a matter of fact, with the proper ID, there is no entrance fee. Both of these museums have many more treasures to view than Wynn and make them all available to the general public.

If Wynn wants to charge the public, he deserves no tax break. The art will already add to his coffers by attracting high-rollers. I am sick of the excuse -- "for the children" -- to justify a tax write-off. Most kids I know would rather be at the water slides than looking at a Picasso and hearing a lecture about cubism.
