Letter: Criticism of Gibbons' concern about president was unfair

His concern about the timing of the missile attack against terrorists was shared by a majority of Americans who doubt the veracity of our president (only 40 percent in the poll trust William J. Clinton).
We should prepare for a great deal more of such doubt which was engendered by a prevaricating commander-in-chief, until he is either removed by impeachment or spares this nation the agony of that proceeding by resignation.
Gibbons is due an apology from the Las Vegas Sun -- put the blame for national mistrust where it properly belongs, with Slick Willie.
