Lightning blamed for at least two dozen fires

Lightning is being blamed for at least two dozen wildland fires in northeastern Nevada, including an 8,000-acre blaze northeast of Wells.

That fire was burning in the Black Mountain-Windemere area. It initially was two fires that joined together and has destroyed a camp trailer late Sunday.

A 700-acre fire was blazing in the Dry Gulch area near the Idaho line and 300-400 acres were afire south of Carlin in the Sulfur Spring Range.

Except for the trailer, no other structures have been damaged or are in danger.
