Two teens wanted in beating death surrender

Elvin Lee Fred and Gabriel Montgomery came to the sheriff's front desk Saturday night with their parents. Warrants were issued for their arrests on charges of being a principle to murder.

The arrests bring to 10 the number of people who have been booked in the gang-related murder.

Samuel Resendez was beaten to death by a group of men at a Carson City motel. The incident allegedly stemmed from a dispute between a woman and a member of the East Wood Tokers gang, deputies said.

Two more suspects, Chris Fred, 22, and Mike Kizer, 14, are being sought on arrest warrants, deputies said.
