Rio beat out the MalaMala Game Reserve in South Africa, which has a nightly room rate of $1,148.
The average room rate for the nine hotels joining Rio on the world's top 10 list was $432 a night.
The 2,563-room hotel just west of the Strip opened a new $200 million tower last year and is in the midst of another $200 million expansion.
The magazine's recognition "speaks clearly to "Team Rio's highest goal - real value," said Anthony Marnell, chairman and chief executive for Rio Hotel & Casino Inc.
