School board delays decision on superintendent pay

But trustees delayed until July 14 a decision on how much the job will pay.

Board members Tuesday also agreed that a committee of parents, educators and business leaders will interview the top three of five candidates.

Trustees will then interview the candidates twice, show them around town and host a community reception for each before making a final decision.

The search comes with the resignation of Mary Nebgen. Nebgen, whose eight-year tenure ended June 30, plans to go to law school.

Former superintendent Marvin Moss has been named interim superintendent until a permanent replacement is found.
