Letter: No excusing officer who arrested citizen who was feeding the birds
Thursday, July 2, 1998 | 10:49 a.m.
One would think this cop would be glad to encounter a kind and compassionate bird feeder after often dealing with the other side of human nature as his job requires.
I, for one, will lose all respect for the police if this misconduct is upheld as just. I simply cannot believe the pettiness and bullying this officer of the law is displaying. What's his problem?
This is the local scene. Then in Sunday's paper I read where Girl Scouts in New York got a permit from the prison center (Fish and Wildlife Service) to kill Canada Geese who were made to feel at home on some pond and now want to get rid of them. Nice kids. Nice cops. Nice world we live in. Want a cookie?
