Maria Dulcnia Diamanti, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Moncro, N.M. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired custodian at a power plant.

She is survived by two sons, Navor T. Valdez and Joe Albert Valdez, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Evangeline Hinkens of Salt Lake City; one sister, Lugi Stoker of Grand Junction, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

The burial will be in Helper, Utah. Arrangements were handled by Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

TERRY ANN FULK

Terry Ann Fulk, 46, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 23, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wis. A resident for one year, she was a nurse in the immediate intensive care unit at Sunrise Hospital.

She is survived by her mother, Virginia Brewer of Las Vegas; her father, Fred S. Simms of Las Vegas; two brothers, Larry W. Sims and John Sims, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Sherry Cook of Las Vegas; and her grandfather, Bert Sims of Milwaukee.

The family suggests donations to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center for the Nurses Education Fund, c/o Ann Lynch, 3186 Maryland Parkway.

Arrangements were handled by Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

MYRTLE L. HATFIELD

Myrtle L. Hatfield, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday at a local care center. She was born Aug. 14, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired section secretary for the Environmental Protection Agency and a World War II Marine veteran.

She is survived by one son, Michael Oren of Las Vegas; one brother, Arthur Shetzer of Bowling Green, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be noon to 7 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the same location. Graveside services will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial park.

SHIRLEE HAUPT

Shirlee Haupt, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday at a local hospice. She was born Oct. 18, 1920, in Seattle. A resident for 30 years, she was in retail sales.

She is survived by her husband, Jayme Haupt; one son, Dennis Hardy; one brother, Phillip Sussman; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements were handled by Desert Memorial Cremation & Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

DOUGLAS W. HUGHES

Douglas W. Hughes, 48, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 5, 1949, in Chicago. A resident for 12 years, he was a security supervisor at a hotel and an Army Reserves veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; one daughter, Heather Hughes of Phoenix; one son, Jeffrey Hughes of Phoenix; two stepsons, Byron Kacheris of Roanoke, Va., and Aaron Gerber of Las Vegas; his parents, Jack and Geraldine Hughes of Chesapeake, Va.; and one brother, Robert Hughes of Chesapeake.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the same location.

The family suggests donations to the Animal Foundation of Southern Nevada.

RIKI MARIE JEMISON

Riki Marie Jemison, 18, of Las Vegas died Sunday. She was born Jan. 25, 1980, in Emporia, Kansas. A resident for seven years, she was a student.

She is survived by her mother, Linda Jemison of Las Vegas; her father, Charles Jemison of Chicago; and her stepfather, Troy Foots.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary, 1325 Main St.

CHARLES NORMAN JONES

Charles Norman Jones, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Michigan. A resident of three years, he was an auto mechanic.

He is survived by his daughter, Charline Jones of Las Vegas.

MORTON P. KAHN

Morton P. Kahn, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday at a local care center. He was born March, 8, 1913, in Hartford, Conn. A resident for 10 years, he was a professional musician in the entertainment industry and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Ann; and his stepson, David Rand of Roslyn Heights, N.Y.

MAXINE MORALES

Maxine Morales, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. She was born March 17, 1936, in Denver. A resident for nine years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by her husband, Rudolph Morales.

SAMUEL AGOSTINO PATERNITI

Samuel Agostino Paterniti, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 11, 1934, in Jamestown, N.Y. A resident for 21 years, he was the owner and operator of a deli.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; one son, Phillip Paterniti of Las Vegas; two daughters, Teresa Rusmisel of Bedminster, N.J., and Rosemarie Hale of Las Vegas; one brother, Anthony Paterniti of Florida; one sister, Mary Lisciandro of Jamestown; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 5 p.m. today at St. Francis De Sales. Arrangements were handled by Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

BARBARA J. PRADD

Barbara J. Pradd, 41, of Las Vegas died June 23 at a local hospice. She was born Feb. 4, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas. A resident for 19 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Steven; two daughters, Tameka McKinzie and Crystal Pope, both of Las Vegas; one son, Raymond Pope of Las Vegas; her mother, Leola McKinzie of Henderson; six brothers, Norris McKinzie Jr., Billy McKinzie and Clifford Johnson, all of Las Vegas; Sammie Caldwell and Charlie Johnson, both of Huntsville, Texas, and Amos Johnson of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Kay King and Betty Finley, both of Las Vegas; her grandmother, Iteria McKinzie of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

George B. Sellers, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Cleveland, Ohio. A resident of six years, he was a self employed painter and Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, George C. Sellers; one daughter, Deborah Nelson; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

RICHARD SMITH

Richard Smith, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday at a local hospital. He was born April 11, 1925, in Covington, Ky. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired oiler in the automotive industry and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo; three daughters, Linda Willis of Mt. Clemens, Mich., and Tena Smith and Jamie Wood, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Jerry Smith of Canton, Mich., Arnold Smith of Taylor, Mich., and John Smith of Kentucky; and eight grandchildren.

ELEANOR H. SPARKS

Eleanor H. Sparks, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 1, 1919, in Winnipeg. A resident for 44 years, she was a laboratory clerk at a hospital.

She is survived by one son, Roy Clayton Sparks of Hemet, Calif.; two daughters, Mary Ellen Cole of Las Vegas and Colleen C. Cozzo of Jackson, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Bunkers Chapel, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

DION W. TAYLOR JR.

Dion W. Taylor Jr., 77, of Las Vegas died Friday at a local hospital. He was born March 11, 1921, in Philadelphia. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired Pan American Air Lines Pilot and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by one son, Dion W. Taylor III, of Medford, Ore.; one daughter, Virginia L. Archer of Hawaii; one brother, Bill Warner of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

VEDA BROCKBANK WADSWORTH

Veda Brockbank Wadsworth, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday at a local hospital. She was born March 27, 1915, in Spanish Fork, Utah. A resident for 64 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Homemaker Club, the Garden Club and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

She is survived by one son, Larry Wadsworth of Las Vegas; one daughter, Geraldine Rowley of St. George, Utah; two sisters, Mae Inskeep of Las Vegas and Afton Stauffer of Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Carl & Saylor LDS Ward Chapel. The burial will be at Bunkers Memory Gardens.

MARVIN C. WARREN

Marvin C. Warren, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 7, 1920, in Carterville, Mo. A resident of 40 years, he was a retired keno supervisor at a hotel-casino and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; three daughters, Marydale Tuttle of Red Lodge, Mont., Carolyn Compton and Jan Pereira, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Roger Ludwig and Daniel Ludwig, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Betty Brickley of Arkansas; one brother, Fred Warren of Oregon; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the same location. Burial to follow at Palm Memorial Park.

JEAN FUMIE YOKOYAMA

Jean Fumie Yokoyama, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday at a local hospital. She was born Oct. 28, 1941, in Lanai City, Hawaii. She was a Las Vegas resident and a former operator for a Hawaiian Telephone Company.

She is survived by her mother, Fumiko Yokoyama of Hawaii; four brothers; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
