Greg Edward Meske , of Reno, and Robert Dale St. Clair, 30, of Richmond, Calif., were arrested on Wednesday.
Reno police said the arrests followed a lengthy investigation that included the Sacramento County High Technology Crime Task Force, as well as investigators for TCI Cable Co. and COMCAST Communications.
Authorities said the men operated PC Electronics in Reno for over a year and advertised in national magazines to sell descrambler boxes used to receive pay-per-view and other premium cable television channels.
Officers said they recovered hundreds of devices that had been altered or were in the process of being altered when search warrants were served at the business and another address.
Meske and St. Clair were booked into the Washoe County Jail. Both were charged with one count each of possession of stolen property and illegal manufacture of cable descrambling devices.
