Fliers uninjured in F-14 crash

The two ejected before the 8:10 a.m. crash, according to base spokeswoman Anne McMillin. Both were able to walk to a search and rescue helicopter that arrived about 20 minutes later.

The crash took place on the Bravo-20 training range about 35 miles northeast of Fallon. Both man ejected at 22,000 feet above sea level.

They're identified as Lt. Arthur Delacruz and Lt. George Wikoff, both 30 and both from Fallon.

Ms. McMillin said both men were sore from the effects of ejecting, but neither received any cuts or broken bones.

It's not known what caused the jet to fail.
