X-Files star against running of bulls

Anderson has written a letter to the mayor and city council of Mesquite urging them to cancel the running of the bulls, which is scheduled for Saturday.
"It is completely unacceptable to harass and torment bulls in order to generate excitement and entertainment," Anderson said in her letter on behalf of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
"Why would Mesquite want to emulate a blood sport that most of the world has condemned?
Some 350 people have signed to run from a dozen bulls in Mesquite, replicating a 400-year-old tradition in Pamplona, Spain.
The run has raised the ire of animal rights groups.
Anderson plays FBI agent Dana Scully in the "X-Files" television series and in the current movie.
