Man accused in hit and run pleads innocent

Five children were standing on a median waiting to cross the street last month when a car being driven by John Giraldo struck them and sped away, police said.

Two children were seriously injured.

At his arraignment in District Court Tuesday, Giraldo pleaded innocent to charges of driving under the influence and felony hit and run. His trial was set for August.
