Anabel Alzati, 13, of Las Vegas died Friday in Bakersfield, Calif. She was born July 2, 1985, in Mexico. A resident for three years, she was a junior high school student.

She is survived by her parents, Daniel and Elvia Alzati, one brother, Victor Alzati, and one sister, Carina Alzati, all of Las Vegas.

Mass was celebrated 10 a.m. today in Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will continue until 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday with a 3 p.m. rosary in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Mexico.

JERE L. BARNES

Jere L. Barnes, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 16, 1929, in Fort Wayne, Ind. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Pam Briery of Las Vegas and Diane Dunbar of Seattle; two sons, Jeff Barnes and David Barnes, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Jane Christensen, and one sister, Patricia Stark, both of Valparaiso, Ind.; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

FLOYD S. BERRY

Floyd S. Berry, 74, of Las Vegas and Pahrump died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 7, 1924, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident of Las Vegas for 36 years and a resident of Pahrump for five years, he was a retired Sands hotel-casino engineer and a World War II Army paratrooper.

He is survived by three daughters, Barb Najmi of Toledo and Becky Keena and Bonnie Simmons, both of Pahrump; one son, Floyd Berry of Pahrump; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled noon-4 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

JOANNE FRANCES 'JOAN' BROWN

Joanne Frances "Joan" Brown, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 21, 1930, in Newark, N.J. A resident for 45 years, she was a retail sales cashier, former vice regent of Daughters of the American Revolution, past president of the Garden Club, former member of the Screen Actors Guild and founder and vice president of 20-30 Anns Civic Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Lynn McGinty, and one son, Douglas Edison Cotner, both of Las Vegas; one stepson, David Leonard Cotner of Reno; two brothers, Charles Brown of Philadelphia and John Brown of Lakeland, Ga.; one sister, Janice Lynn Brown of Safety Harbor, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

DONNA M. CRANEY

Donna M. Craney, 61, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born Oct. 5, 1936, in Durand, Wis. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired hotel pantry worker.

She is survived by two sons, Richard C. Wilson Jr. and John C. Wilson, both of Tacoma, Wash.; four daughters, Dawn M. Frost of Yreka, Calif., Sharon Hoopes and Wendi Garcia, both of Las Vegas, and Janice Wilson of Redding, Calif.; two sisters, Patricia Tesko of North Las Vegas and Jean Marie Anderson of Alma, Wis.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

RAY DAVIS

Ray Davis, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 21, 1916, in Tucson, Ariz. A resident for 60 years, he was a retired railroad conductor, a member of the United Transportation Union and a lifetime member of the Union Pacific Old Timers Club.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; one daughter, Debbie Peck of Las Vegas; three sons, Ray Davis of Houston and Glen Davis and John Davis, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Ida Caskey of Lincoln, Mont.; and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

ANDREA MARIE 'JU-JU' GONZALES

Andrea Marie "Ju-Ju" Gonzales, 17, of Las Vegas died Sunday. She was born March 9, 1981, in Gardena, Calif. A resident for one year, she was a junior at Cimarron-Memorial High School.

She is survived by her parents, Diana and Rodney Ferrell, and one brother, Dominic Ferrell, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Yvonne Rodriguez and Karissa Ferrell, both of Las Vegas, and Nina Contreras of Gardena; her boyfriend, Saul Ameillo of Las Vegas; aunts and uncles; three nephews; numerous cousins; and her grandparents, Marie and Al Calderon of Pueblo, Colo., and Jack Davis of Texarkana, Texas.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will be private.

FRANK C. GUSTO

Frank C. Gusto, 80, of Las Vegas died June 28 in Las Vegas. He was born July 18, 1917, in White Plains, N.Y. A resident for 55 years, he was a musician and a member of the American Federation of Musicians.

He is survived by two sons, Louis and Frank Jr.; one daughter, Clare; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

JERALDINE T. JOHNSON

Jeraldine T. Johnson, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born May 15, 1933, in Brandon, Miss. A resident for 31 years, she was a retired surgery scrub technician and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Johnson of North Las Vegas and Henry Johnson of Las Vegas; her parents, Lorenzo and Creola Tooley of Brandon; and one sister, Pauline Brown of Hyattsville, Md.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Louise E. Karl, 90, of Hixson, Tenn., died Wednesday in a Tennessee hospital. She was born in Chicago and was a Las Vegas resident for many years.

She is survived by one niece, Delores Keller of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Julia Kirkpatrick, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 13, 1910, in Sweetwater, Tenn. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired assistant manager of a laundry service.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; one sister, Alice Van Horn of Garden Grove, Calif.; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Margaret Mary Lancaster, 90, of Cottonwood Cove and Searchlight, died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 8, 1907, in Portland, Maine. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired motel manager.

She is survived by one daughter, Anna "Kay" Kimball of Raleigh, N.C.; one son, James R. Crozier II of Old Saybrook, Conn.; one brother, George W. Baker of South Portland, Maine; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Cottonwood Cove Cemetery. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Louis Gallow Lee, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Eudora, Ark. A resident for 35 years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by his companion, Gloria Moten of Las Vegas; five sons, Louis Lee of Los Angeles, Louis Lee and Curtis Lee, both of Kansas City, Mo., James Lee of Atlanta and Robert Lee of Eudora, Ark.; 10 daughters, Dorthy Gaston and Genester Lee, both of Louisiana, Ella Higgins, Doris Pulliams and Patricia Morris, all of Eudora, Deborah Cooper of Kansas City, Mo., Beverly Norris of North Carolina, Stephanie Lide and Vera Moore, both of Las Vegas, and Maxine Spencers of Texas; three sisters, Ophelia D. King of Las Vegas, Coria James of Detroit and Esteen Knight of Los Angeles; 46 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Metropolitan Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Audrey M. Rogers-Salazar, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born April 7, 1929, in Madison, Wis. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired hotel-casino executive secretary and past president of the Women's Auxiliary of the Power Engineers.

She is survived by her husband, Marcellino R.; one son, Terry W. Rogers of Las Vegas; two sisters, Joyce Cummings of Groveland, Fla., and Sally Harried of Stoughton, Wis.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Theophil Martin "T" Snyder, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 23, 1911, in Humboldt, Tenn. A resident for 40 years, he was a registered nurse.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth K.; one son, Philip Snyder, and one daughter, Judy Lee Santelman, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Mgadalene O'Connor of Tallahassee, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

NADINE 'NIKKI' VESELY

Nadine "Nikki" Vesely, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 9, 1913, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A resident for 44 years, she was a retired co-founder of Vesely Music Company and the Las Montadas Equestrian Club and a member of the Nevada Larriettes.

She is survived by one son, Jerry H. of Henderson.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Christ Church Episcopal. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

MATT WHITE

Matt White, 84, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born April 5, 1914, in Whick, Ky. A resident for 56 years, he was a retired railroad foreman.

He is survived by his wife, Linna; one son, Jim White of Las Vegas; two daughters, Evalyn Fay of Overton and Marilyn Wall of Las Vegas; two brothers, Howard J. White of North Las Vegas and Alison White of Pilasgrove, N.J.; one sister, Martha White of Hamilton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Bill E. Young, 74, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born May 18, 1924, in California. A resident for three years, he was a mechanic and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanie; two sons, Greg Young and Don Schneider, both of California; and one sister, Virginia Pierce of New Mexico.
