Demetra C. "Toula" Alexopoulos, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 6, 1920, in Korinthos, Greece. A resident for 19 years, she was a volunteer nurse in Greece and most recently a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, George C. Alex of Portage, Ind., and Jim C. Alex of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Tina K. Giannopoulos of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. trasigion in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John's Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

WILLIAM ALEXANDER FERRIS ASHBY

William Alexander Ferris Ashby, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. A resident for two years, he was born May 12, 1923, in New York City.

He is survived by his wife, Renee; two sons, Demetrius and B.J.; three daughters, Cynthia, Dawn and Hope; and one sister, Clarice Stocks.

Services were scheduled at noon today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by graveside services today in Woodlawn Cemetery.

BEN CASTELLANA

Ben Castellana, 90, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A baking company owner, he was born Jan. 20, 1908, in Ohio.

He is survived by one daughter, Benita Brooks, and one son, Joseph Castellano, both of Las Vegas.

WILLIAM CHENAULT

William Chenault, 72, of Henderson died Sunday in Gila, Ariz. A resident for many years, he was born Jan. 26, 1926, in Wisconsin.

He is survived by his wife, Millie.

Services will be 7 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in the Fernley Veterans Cemetery.

DOROTHY M. COOK

Dorothy M. Cook, 74, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Wisconsin. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, William Cook of Las Vegas and Christopher Simms of California; two daughters, Elizabeth Cox of Arizona and Margaret Rafalski of Texas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Sydney Ann Dailey, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born Dec. 16, 1925, in Nampa, Idaho. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired schoolteacher at Rancho, Valley and VoTech high schools.

She is survived by one daughter, Julie Neil of Henderson; one sister, Donna Lee Buchanan of Las Vegas; and one grandson, John Neil of Henderson.

Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

WILLIAM M. FERNANDEZ

William M. Fernandez, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 13, 1931, in Albuquerque, N.M. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired painter in the construction industry, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Victoria St. Clair and Maria Fernandez, and one son, Bill Fernandez Jr., all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Julia Pugh and Mary Pedroza, both of Albuquerque; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Sunday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in Holy Family Catholic Church. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

WARREN JOHN FRATIANNO

Warren John Fratianno, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1919, in Cleveland. A resident for 10 years, he was a commercial transport truck driver for more than 60 years, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Italian-American Brotherhood Club and had been a Grass Valley, Calif., volunteer firefighter.

He is survived by one son, Warren W. Fratianno, and one daughter, Maryann Fratianno, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Louise Chiocchio of Highland Heights, Ohio; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2121 Western Ave., Suite A-3, is handling arrangements.

RICK GAISIN

Rick Gaisin, 55, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 14, 1942, in Canada. A resident for 23 years, he was a floor supervisor at the Golden Nugget, an Army veteran and a collector of Yankees, Coca-Cola and John Wayne memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry; one son, Eric Gaisin, and his father, Harry Gaisin, both of Las Vegas.

Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.

RODNEY L. GOSLAR

Rodney L. Goslar, 45, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 21, 1952, in Michigan. A resident for 18 years, he was a carpenter and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his companion, Bonnie Schulz, and one son, James Greggory Goslar, both of Las Vegas; three daughters, Talina Laas and Mary Goslar, both of Las Vegas, and Cheryl Russell of Indiana; his mother, Mary Philips, and one sister, Iva Watson, both of California; two brothers, Glen Goslar of Nevada and Douglas Goslar of Indiana; and five grandchildren.

Doris Hale, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 28, 1922, in Dycusburg, Ky. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired bookkeeper for a paper supply company.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Joe Ann Wylie of Lexington, Ky., and Debra Storie of Fontana, Calif.; one sister, Ruth Storer of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Louis Gallow Lee, 73, of Las Vegas died July 3 in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Eudora, Ark. A resident for 35 years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by his companion, Gloria Moten of Las Vegas; five sons, Louis Lee of Los Angeles, Louis Lee and Curtis Lee, both of Kansas City, Mo., James Lee of Atlanta and Robert Lee of Eudora, Ark.; 10 daughters, Dorthy Gaston and Genester Lee, both of Louisiana, Ella Higgins, Dorie Pulliams and Patricia Morris, all of Eudora, Deborah Cooper of Kansas City, Mo., Beverly Norris of North Carolina, Stephanie Lide and Vera Moore, both of Las Vegas, and Maxine Spencers of Texas; three sisters, Ophelia D. King of Las Vegas, Coria James of Detroit and Esteen Knight of Los Angeles; 46 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.

JUDITH ANN LESLIE

Judith Ann Leslie, 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 5, 1940, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, James A.; two sons, Bob Ray Leslie and W. Dean Leslie; one daughter, Joan; her mother, Louise Haroldson; one brother, Ted; and five grandchildren.

Charlotte Verne Miller, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 6, 1925, in Big Rapids, Mich. A resident for eight years, she was a retired accountant in the automobile industry and a Central Michigan University graduate.

She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Miller of Las Vegas, Carol A. Richmond of Los Angeles, Catherine A. Miller of Arlington, Texas, and Patricia A. Greski of Highland, Mich.; one son, Scott M. Miller of Vancouver, Wash.; and one grandchild.

Dale Jackson "Colonel" Miller, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born May 15, 1925, in Minneapolis. A resident for six years, he was a retired Army veteran who served 40 years and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by one son, James Miller of California; two daughters, Kipra Burns of Arizona and Kimra Coons of Missouri; and five grandchildren.

Betty L. Mitchell, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 19, 1919, in St. Louis Park, Minn. A resident for 34 years, she was a member of the El Cortez Club.

She is survived by her husband, Walter; three daughters, JoAnn Spates of Santa Ana, Calif., and Janet Kalvig and Joyce Smeltzer, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Clark Campbell of Nevada; three sisters, Inez Blmyer of Oregon and Carolyn Hardin and Ada Velner, both of California; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Donald James Palmer, 47, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 10, 1951, in Montana. A resident for 21 years, he was a coin wrapper and an Army veteran.

Verla Shearer, 91, of Nixa, Mo., died Wednesday in a Missouri nursing center. She was born Dec. 25, 1906, in Green County, Mo. A former resident of Las Vegas for 30 years, she was a retired registered nurse.

She is survived by three half-sisters, Ruth O. Smith of Houston, Mo., Patricia Vawter of Springfield, Mo., and Mary Peart of Florida; three half-brothers, Richard King of Jefferson City, Mo., Charles King of Louisiana and Paul King of Idaho.

Luke A. Snee, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 6, 1930, in New Jersey. A resident for eight years, he was a Navy veteran.
