Man, who allegedly confessed to murder, kills self

Police said the 30-year-old man, whose name wasn't released, shot himself Saturday in his room at the Silver Legacy Hotel and Casino.

Police said the incident occurred after the man allegedly confessed to a murder that occurred about two years ago. They had no other details.

Police evacuated nearby rooms and negotiated with the man for more than four hours before he took his life.
