Three names as finalists to replace Molini

RENO -- Two men from Arizona and one from Reno were chosen as finalists Friday by the state Wildlife Commission to succeed retiring Wildlife Administrator Willie Molini.

The commission interviewed seven applicants Thursday and Friday before deciding to nominate Terry Crawforth, currently deputy director of the agency in Reno; Tom Spalding who is deputy director of the Arizona Department of Game and Fish and Raymond Lee, a wildlife specialist supervisor with the Arizona Department.

The nominations go to Pete Morros, director of the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. He will make the final selection for the $73,000 a year job.

Molini is retiring at the end of September after 16 years on the job.
