Inmate walks away from Humboldt Conservation Camp

Prison Department spokesman Glen Whorton said Jeremiah Greaney was discovered missing from the Humboldt Conservation Camp during a head count around 10 p.m. Monday.

Greaney, 26, was described as a black male, six feet tall, 180 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue work shirt, blue denim trousers and heavy work boots.

Authorities add that he has a 3 inch scar on the left side of his head.

Greaney was serving a one-to-six year sentence and a concurrent one-to-four year sentence on convictions in Washoe County for attempted possession of stolen property and larceny.

The Nevada Parole Board granted him parole in May, and he was to be released in December.
