Letter: Las Vegas Philharmonic proud of concert, grateful for support

It is the hope of the philharmonic to present to the city an orchestra of which every Las Vegas citizen can be proud. Having our own professional, resident orchestra offers the public an expanded cultural horizon and a sense of continuity.

The arts, and especially music, are very important to the enrichment of a metropolitan area such as Las Vegas, and as our community matures in Southern Nevada it is even more critical that the Las Vegas Philharmonic articulate clearly the city's vibrant new spirit. We hope that you relish the success of what the Las Vegas Philharmonic has been able to achieve in just nine working days.

Thank you again for helping us put together an organization of which we can all be proud. That's what it is all about -- local businesses making the community a better place for all of us.
