Virginia Lee Barnett, 70, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 22, 1928, in Salina, Kan. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Don; one son, Dennis Barnett of Dallas; one daughter, Dawn Barr of Henderson; one sister, Emmeline Taylor of Fresno, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

PHILLIP BOGUSZEWSKI

Phillip Boguszewski, 58, of Las Vegas died June 24 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 23, 1939, in Michigan. A resident for one year, he was a security officer.

He is survived by one brother, Steven Boguszewski of Nevada.

Burial will be Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

RUTH P. DAVIS

Ruth P. Davis, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 11, 1923, in Gorman, S.D. A resident for 31 years, she was a retired University Medical Center nurse, a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and American Nurse Association.

She is survived by two sisters, Ella Mann of Rapid City, S.D., and Twila Hochstetter of Java, S.D.; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

CASEY JAMES DECKER

Casey James Decker, 2, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 15, 1996, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his parents, Leslie J. Decker and Cassie Martin, three sisters, Cynthia Scapellato, Leslie Anne Decker and Natasha Renee Decker, two brothers, James Les Decker and Anthony Irenn Dean Decker, his grandparents, Vana Lynn Martin, Marsha Inez and Roy Lee Decker Sr., and William Lee Homer, and his great-grandparents, Irene Goodwin, Nadine McElree and Violet Homer, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main.

CHARLOTTE ELLSWORTH

Charlotte Ellsworth, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 8, 1912, in Cardston, Alberta. A resident for 56 years, she was a hotel reservation manager.

She is survived by one son, John Ellsworth of Gig Harbor, Wash.; one daughter, Jane Olive of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Salt Lake City.

DUANE HALEY

Duane Haley, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 19, 1920, in Wellington, Kan. A resident for 13 years, he was a petroleum engineer for 13 years at Conoco Inc., a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a 1944 graduate of Texas Tech University.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys M.; one daughter, Ruth M. Nichols of Phoenix; one son, Duane L. Haley of Denver; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

DORIS IRENE HELLNER

Doris Irene Hellner, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A resident for nine years, she was born Oct. 7, 1922, in Missouri.

She is survived by one niece and nephew, Glenn and Joyce Nedervold of Fox Island, Wash.

RUBY LEE HOLLAND

Ruby Lee Holland, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 18, 1926, in West Virginia. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara E. Dunn of Las Vegas; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

WELDON JENNINGS

Weldon Jennings, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local convalescent hospital. He was born Sept. 16, 1911, in Rockville, Utah. A resident for 63 years, he was a retired property manager, originally moved here to work on Hoover Dam and was a member of Elks Lodge 1468 for 30 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Anna Jennings Welsh of Las Vegas; two sons, Michael Jennings of Elko and James Jennings of Mount Carmel, Utah; four sisters, Daisy Ballard of Rockville, Emily Day of Whiterock, Ariz., Helen Reynolds of Richfield, Utah, and Ellen Carter of Long Beach, Calif.; one brother, Drew Jennings of Rockville; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

JOHN JOSEPH MILONE

John Joseph Milone, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 19, 1915, in New York state. A resident for one year, he was a bricklayer.

He is survived by his wife, Vera; three sons, Anthony Milone and John Milone Jr., both of Las Vegas, and Robert Milone of New York; one daughter, Joan Arcari of New York; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 4 p.m. Friday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. A private burial will follow.

FRANK PETRONE

Frank Petrone, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. A retired supervisor for a food distributor, he was born July 11, 1926, in Newark, N.J.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; one son, Vincent Petrone of Las Vegas; three daughters, Terese Hatch of Bridgewater, N.J., Joanne Seminski of Piscataway, N.J., and Frances Frings of Nazareth, Pa.; two sisters, Grace Petrone of Clark, N.J., and Helen Scardaville of Florida; three brothers, Joseph Petrone of Cranford, N.J., Louis Petrone of Middlesex, N.J., and James Petrone of Hadley, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Nguyen Rayburn, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 26, 1942, in Quang Yen, Vietnam. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, A.J.; her mother, Bui Diu of Henderson; six brothers, Nguyen Thu Van of Henderson, Nguyen Khoa Van of Anaheim, Calif., Nguyen Bang Van of San Diego, Nguyen Khanh Tuan of Orange County, Calif., and Nguyen Vuong Tuan of Los Angeles; and three sisters, Nguyen Yen and Nguyen Huong, both of Henderson, and Nguyen Tram of Oklahoma.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson.

SATOKO RAYWOOD

Satoko Raywood, 65, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 7, 1932, in Kure, Japan. A resident for 29 years, she was a retired hotel maid.

She is survived by her husband, Walter.

Merle A. Struhar, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 11, 1914, in Dallas. A resident for 19 years, she was a retired cosmetology instructor.

She is survived by her husband, George; one son, Doug Stiles of Anaheim, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 8 a.m. Monday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

MARTHA C. TALBOT

Martha C. Talbot, 84, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 20, 1914, in Fairview, Utah. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired retailer.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Kobylasz and Patsy Ann Carter, both of Henderson; two sons, Earl Everett Talbot of Moses Lake, Wash., and David Michael Talbot of Henderson; one sister, Mary Ballou of Henderson; one brother, Dean Cox of Apple Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

EVA VENA

Eva Vena, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born March 17, 1907, in Battle Creek, Mich. A resident for 48 years, she was a retired hotel waitress, a longtime member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile.

She is survived by one brother, Norris G. Elliott of Albuquerque, N.M.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
