A valet attendant at a local casino on Friday observed Philip Owens, 57, of Laughlin strike another vehicle, then attempt to leave the parking lot, police said Monday.
When security officers stopped the vehicle, a passenger in Owens' car, Howard Roberts, tried to bite an officer's finger.
Owens was charged with driving under the influence and Roberts was charged with assault.
Police did not release Roberts' age or hometown, but did say he was from California.
