No damage reported from several brush fires

The fire near Cold Springs along Highway 50 had burned about 70 acres and still was burning Tuesday evening.
About 50 firefighters from the Nevada Division of Forestry and U.S. Bureau of Land Management fought that fire with ground and air crews.
Separate brush fires broke out near Reno about 3 p.m. but those fires were contained within a couple of hours. About 50 firefighters and 17 units put out the blaze near Vintage Hills Road as it approached the backyards of several homes, KOLO-TV reported.
A smaller brush fire was contained in a field in the Horizon Hills north of Reno.
