18-year-old charged in shooting death of fellow teen

Police were called to an apartment complex at 1800 Sullivan Lane shortly before midnight, where they found the teen-age woman dead of a gunshot wound to the chest.

Richardo Valle told police he shot the victim, but that it was an accident. Police said interviews with witnesses prompted the filing of murder charges.

Valle is being held without bail.

The name of the victim was not being released until relatives could be notified.
