Limo drivers lose court decision

The Independent Limousine Owners/Operators Association was seeking the injunction because it claims the state regulations that govern the industry are cumbersome and unfair.

But officials with the state Transportation Services Authority say the process is only as cumbersome as necessary to make sure would-be limousine customers are protected.

The Transportation Authority is responsible for certifying owners and operators of limousine services, taxi services outside of Clark County, towing companies and local moving companies. It is illegal to operate such businesses without a license.
