Investigators discover large meth lab

Tri-Net Narcotics Task Force officers opened up a Gardnerville Self-Storage unit based on information uncovered in an earlier raid.
"I didn't expect this much," Dennis Slater of the Douglas County Sheriff's Department told The Record-Courier.
Sgt. Lance Modispacher said the group discovered the storage unit through paperwork found inside a Blue Sage Storage Unit, Topaz Ranch Estates, that also had the makings of a methamphetamine lab Saturday.
He said they were on the way to another storage unit also rented to the two people arrested Saturday.
Avryl Murlyne Monson, 37, and Vance Winston, 32, of Holbrook Junction, were arrested and charged in suspicion of trafficking, manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Monson was also charged in connection with being under the influence of a controlled substance.
