Carson City youngster dies in one-vehicle accident

The Nevada Highway Patrol said Marishella Orozco was not wearing a child restraint seat.

Six other people in the vehicle, all from Carson City, were taken to Churchill Community Hospital with injuries ranging from moderate to serious. Some were ejected in Thursday morning's accident.

The patrol said the driver, Violeta Calderon-Cardoza, 24, apparently was fatigued and let the car drift off the side of the highway. She overcorrected, causing the car to overturn several times.
