Officer suspended for one month in fatal crash

Sheriff Jerry Keller announced the suspension of 35-year-old Edward Jones and expressed sympathy to the family of Anthony "Chappy" Brazil.

Brazil, 34, was killed June 27 when a patrol car driven by Jones slammed into his motorcycle.

Jones was on his way to an emergency call at the time, and was over the center line.

Meanwhile, an attorney representing Brazil's widow, Lorena, criticized the police probe of the accident, saying it is one-sided and unfair.
