Reno man arrested in assault of young girls

Martin Ramirez, 30, was charged with one count of sexual assault and 13 counts of lewdness with a child under the age of 14, a Reno Police Department spokesman said.

Ramirez was being held in the Washoe County jail Friday in lieu of a $145,000 bond.

Detectives began investigating Ramirez this spring after one of the victims notified her mother of an encounter with him, police said.
