Letter: Newcomers to Las Vegas welcome highway funding

Michigan roads have been deteriorating for years and, when we arrived in Nevada and saw all the traffic, we assumed the same deterioration would be present here. Presently the senators from Michigan are from opposing parties and nothing much seems to get accomplished.
From the article, it appears that Sen. Harry Reid is someone that can get things accomplished. The $1.14 back for every $1 sent is not only a 14 percent return on our investment but even greater when you realize that a great proportion of the original dollar sent in is probably used to maintain the bureaucracy that disburses the monies.
