Archibald named interim director of Elko Convention Center

Ms. Peterson resigned June 1, but offered to stay on until after next week's Mining Expo.

Convention Board Chairman Al Vernarda said Ms. Archibald, of Archibald & Associates of Fairfield, Calif., offered to take over the job under her existing contract with the board but with no additional compensation.

Tuesday's 4-0 vote put Ms. Archibald in the interim post until Aug. 31, when her constract extension expires, the Elko Daily Free Press reported.
