Eddy, a former accounting technician, also was told she must serve five years' probation after completing the jail time, and any probation violation could mean a 4-year term in state prison.

Judge Suzanne Kingsbury also said the proceeds from a pending sale of Eddy's home must be applied to restitution.

Eddy worked for the school district for about 12 years, eight of those as a senior accounting technician for child nutritional services.

According to the school district, Eddy embezzled the money over three years, claiming a loss in the cafeteria fund due to increased expenditures.

Eddy, who pleaded guilty to the embezzlement April 27, was sentenced Friday and jailed immediately.
