Lady Rebels land top player

UNLV women's basketball coach Regina Miller announced Tuesday that Kinesha Davis will transfer to UNLV this fall from Western Illinois University, where she played basketball as a freshman last season.
Davis will be a redshirt this season and will be eligible to play for UNLV as a sophomore during the 1999-2000 season.
Davis, a 5-10 guard, was third in the nation in freshman scoring last season. The leading scorer on Miller's WIU squad, Davis averaged 19.4 points per game, breaking the freshman scoring record for both the Westerwinds and the Mid-Continent Conference.
