Letter: Running of the Politicians might be better than bulls

Yet she supports this cruel event in the name of "revenue." Guess what. There are still people in this world who think there are more important things in the world than "revenue," such as preventing the senseless act of forcing a lot of innocent animals into stampeding into a crowd of obnoxious people.

But if Mesquite does need more "revenue" I have a better idea for you.

While most people have never been hurt by a bull, many have been hurt by politicians. I think a lot more people would attend a Running of the Politicians than a Running of the Bulls. I personally would attend such an event.

It would be worth a hefty admission fee to watch politicians lose that fake air-brushed smile look as they run down the street in fear of their lives. Maybe we can start an all-new American tradition.
