Letter: Candidate Berkley told it like it is
Saturday, June 20, 1998 | 3:08 a.m.
Shelley Berkley, one of the few politicos I admire, told it like it is in this town. Even Steve Wynn, who is (ital) not (end ital) on my A-list admitted he pays large contributions to people to get their "ear."
I am not fond of lobbyists. Some lobby for good causes but most lobby for perks for casinos and developers who could care less for the people of this valley.
Decent legislators, commissioners and council members should weigh their decisions carefully and consider the effects on the living conditions of (ital) all (end ital) the people in this valley.
