Letter: Many take advantage of handicapped spots

I am for the handicapped in respect to access to bathrooms, doors and sidewalks, but I am totally against having handicapped parking. They can wheel or walk from a normal parking spot like the rest of us.

I weigh more than 300 pounds and am a senior citizen. I am telling Larry Baxter with Metro's volunteer program that there are many capable people who can outrun me and some who have handicapped tags that are outdated.

And some have tags that don't belong to them. Take care of this first before going out to give tickets to illegally parked people.
